10 Detroit Pistons who may have played their last minutes with the team

The young ones
Finally, some of the young unproven players on the roster may find themselves on the outside looking in this summer. These three have struggled the most to find consistent footing on the main roster and have spent the majority of their time in the G-League. Two of them are on two-way contracts so let’s start there.
Louis King appeared in 10 games for the Detroit Pistons this summer, totaling only 62 minutes. Jordan Bone was similar, appearing in 53 minutes over 10 games. Both players felt pretty far away and are likely to spend significant time in the G-League next season. If either player signs a contract with the team again it will likely be as a two-way again but the more likely scenario is them playing elsewhere.
For Bone, the Pistons will likely be drafting a guard early in this season’s draft and with that player, Derrick Rose and Bruce Brown signing Bone seems unnecessary. King is, unfortunately, the second-best big man on the Drive, while Donta Hall has earned two 10-day contracts and shows more promise. If any of the Rapids guys is to sign with the Pistons this summer he seems like the candidate.
Khyri Thomas seemed to be the odd man out even before the season, popping up in trade rumors as the Pistons looked to make a roster spot available. Injuries and inconsistencies have limited the opportunities over his two seasons, appearing in only 34 games and playing 256 minutes so far. Coming in at the same time as Bruce Brown with a better reputation as a defensive stalwart had fans excited for the potential of a second-round pick.
Sometimes things do not click and the fact that he was rumored to be on the way out combined with his contract not being fully guaranteed next season does not bode well for the future of Thomas as a Detroit Piston.
The winds of change will be coming to the Motor City once free agency opens this summer. The front office has a lot of decisions to make. While fans will miss many of these players if they leave the reality is that a rebuild is not often easy. Change is needed to get the Detroit Pistons back to glory.
