As we look forward to the summer ahead there will be plenty of roster turnover. To begin, we take a look at the Detroit Pistons who could leave.

Entering into an offseason where a rebuild is likely to be the focus, roster turnover has to be expected for the Detroit Pistons. For the first time in years, there are a lot of expiring contracts on the roster and the Pistons will be looking for a change. In the first part of a pair of offseason projections, we will be looking at the most likely players to be leaving the Pistons this year.

The only players on the roster who are signed for next season are Blake Griffin, Derrick Rose, Luke Kennard, Sekou Doumbouya, Bruce Brown and Khyri Thomas along with a player option for Tony Snell and a team option for Svi Mykhailiuk. Kennard is eligible for his rookie contract extension this summer and both Brown and Thomas are not fully guaranteed for next season.

Change is on the horizon for the Pistons and while some of the pessimistic fans believe they will either screw it up or try to reload for a run at the eighth seed next season, the reality is a lot of players on the roster will likely be gone.

Some will be seeking opportunities at a change because the team does not look to be competing next season and they are searching for a final payday or a chance at a winning situation. Some of the young guys may be shuffled out as the Pistons will be taking chances on different guys from other situations. We start with the guys who were here the shortest and are therefore the most expendable.
