2014 NBA Redraft: A tale of two big men and two missed picks

#12 Pick: Andrew Wiggins (Originally: Dario Saric)
In all honesty, Andrew Wiggins could have gone earlier. He hasn’t been a bad player by any stretch. He just has not lived up to the hype coming out of high school or the maximum contract extension he was given.
Wiggins’ worst scoring season was 16.9 points per game, his rookie year. While consistency has not been the name of his game, he has consistently been available. In his first four seasons, he only missed one game and has started every game in his career. He has averaged more than 20 points per game in three of his six seasons.
Next season will be the first chance we get to see Wiggins play in a role that best fits his talents and it will be fascinating to see how his game develops.
It is easy to write Wiggins off because he was considered a future face of the franchise and he will likely be an above-average role player if he is ever in a winning situation. He has not been the defensive stalwart that he was projected to be, but the potential is still there.
Wiggins is only 25 and can still reach another level. For the continuation of the Process, you could do much worse than Andrew Wiggins.
