#2: T.J. Warren (2014-19)

To this day, barely any fans understand why the Suns thought it was a good idea to trade a developing and young T.J. Warren to the Indiana Pacers, for cash considerations. But what if the Suns could turn back time and not agree to that trade.

Developing into a lethal shooter, Warren spent five seasons in Phoenix, where he’d peak during the 2017-18 season, when he’d average 20 points per game. What was even better was his development from that season into the next season. Warren would transition from one of the worst shooters in the league, to one of the most dangerous in a matter of a season.

His 3-point percentage would leap from a terrible 22 percent to a fantastic 42.8 percent. Unless there was something that fans didn’t know, the Suns trading Warren for almost nothing seems a bit ludicrous

Although he wouldn’t be a perfect fit in the current team, it’s almost like the Morris situation, experiments and trials can be made. Warren did initially fit perfectly, but obviously the Suns were troubled with deciding over Oubre and Warren. Still, Warren could attempt a stint as either a starter or sixth-man and it’d be pretty fairly successful. The whole Suns offense would take a huge turn into one of the best shooting teams in the league, only challenged by a prime Warriors squad.

While the team wouldn’t be the best defensively, a player such as Warren makes sense for this young Suns roster, considering he’s still only 26 years old. The Suns could be fast-tracked to success if Warren was to ever make a return to Phoenix.
