Phoenix Suns: Ranking Devin Booker’s best games this season
By Jono Perilli
1: 40 PTS, 3 AST, 4 REBS vs Philadelphia 76ers (November 4th)
Behold, the top spot, and a truly worthy performance against the Philadelphia 76ers for sure. Booker’s forty point game is regarded as the game that fans finally acknowledged his improvement as a scorer.
While this performance wasn’t as well-rounded as some others, Booker’s scoring efforts were truly impressive, especially considering his efficiency. Booker was able to shoot an amazing 79% from the field, while nailing three three-pointers. Booker was also limited to only three turnovers, however, he did foul five times.
It was also his defensive improvement that was shown, with the guard snatching the ball away three times. While it’s not the best statistical game for Booker (which is saying something), it’s undeniably his most impactful and prominent performance.
Keep in mind, this dominant and bold performance was against an undefeated 76ers team, who were making fans believe that they were/are a championship lock team. While they have lost that spot, for now, the 76ers were absolutely dominant. That makes this performance signifincantly more impressive, and it made fans realize the true potential of Booker and how much he has improved from a one-dimensional scorer. Fans were finally proven that Booker has improved into an efficient scorer, rather than a shoot-first, think-later kind of scorer.
While not his best statistical performance, it was the atmosphere around him that truly made this performance absolutely remarkable, and his best throughout the whole season.
