Chicago Bulls: What Arturas Karnisovas’ priorities should be?
The Chicago Bulls have a new face in the front office in Arturas Karnisovas. Here are the three biggest questions following the new hire.
It is no secret that the Chicago Bulls have not enjoyed a ton of success over the past few years. They have qualified for the playoffs just once in the last four seasons. That appearance resulted in a first-round loss to the top-seeded Boston Celtics.
Since that playoff appearance back in 2016-17, the Bulls have won just 27 and 22 games in the past two seasons, respectively. While they did match their win total from a year ago before the NBA season was suspended, the team is going to miss the playoffs for the third consecutive season.
With so much uncertainty about whether the NBA will resume the 2019-20 campaign at some point, the team could have chosen not to make any moves until the offseason. Much to the surprise of everyone, the team hired former general manager Arturas Karnisovas to replace John Paxson (who will remain with the organization in an advisory role) as executive vice president of basketball operations.
Now that the Bulls have a new guy as the face of the front office, what’s next for the team that is flailing in the third year of its rebuild?
Here are the three biggest priorities he needs to address to get Chicago back in the playoff picture.
