Nov. 30 @ Sacramento Kings

On a night where the rest of the starters shot just 17-of-46 from the field and struggled to put the ball in the basket with regularity, Gary Harris especially came to play on both ends of the floor against the Sacramento Kings.

He led the team in scoring with a season-high 25 points and put forth a well-rounded performance with four threes, three rebounds, three steals, two blocks, and one assist. Given how the game played out, the Nuggets needed every bit of production Harris had to offer on both ends of the court to keep the game competitive.

Harris came out of the gate firing, recording 18 points in the first frame on 6-of-8 shooting with three made triples. With a little under five minutes left in the quarter, Harris converted on six consecutive field-goal attempts to score 13 in a row for the Nuggets.

To say he feeling it was an understatement, as Harris’ point total exceeded that of the entire Kings team by the end of the first quarter.

He cooled down in the second quarter with just two points, and while he didn’t score at all in the second half, he participated in all seven of Denver’s total points in the overtime period. He first assisted Jokic, then scored five straight for the Nuggets, including two clutch free throws to bring the team within two with 14 seconds remaining.

Although the Nuggets would go on to lose by three, Harris kept things interesting with his solid play on the road, particularly given the lackluster shooting performances of his fellow starters.
