Jan. 16 @ Golden State Warriors

Mason Plumlee has been highly consistent for Denver all season long, and on Jan. 16 on the road in San Francisco against the Golden State Warriors at Chase Center, the Plumdog came out to play, especially during crunch-time.

Plumlee posted a solid line in just under eight minutes of play during the first half, recording four points, six rebounds, two assists, and one block, however, the Nuggets still found themselves down 17 after the first 24 minutes were in the books.

When the second half began, Plumlee took his game to another level, doing everything for Denver on both ends during his 14 minutes of playing time. He tacked on another six points, six boards, two assists, one steal and a block to his already well-balanced stat line and was great down the stretch to push the game to overtime.

With about two minutes left in the game, Plumlee came up with a nice block on a pull-up jumper by D’Angelo Russell, ran the floor, and put down the fastbreak dunk to bring the Nuggets within two.

He then played all but nine seconds in the overtime period and provided the team with a major surge. Within a one minute period, Plumlee snagged three rebounds, two of which were on the offensive glass, and he scored all five of his overtime points in a row for Denver to push their lead to four. In a game where his team ultimately won by just three points, his play was certainly a deciding factor in the Nuggets’ eventual victory.
