As the world enters a state of quarantine, some people are lucky enough to be held up with a member of the Toronto Raptors.

Almost everyone around the world is living in some sort of state of quarantine right now due to the coronavirus pandemic. That includes the professional athletes who live in those countries – even the Toronto Raptors.

The Raptors were one of the early adopters of self-quarantines in professional sports, as the team’s final game before the NBA hit pause on the season was against the Utah Jazz, who claim Rudy Gobert (first) and Donovan Mitchell (second) as the league’s early coronavirus cases.

Many people are quarantined with family or roommates, some are with cats and dogs and many are flying solo during these tricky times. But what if you were quarantined with a member of your favorite NBA team, which Raptor would you want to be stuck with right now?

Social media is a big part of the current NBA landscape (and the world), so fans have had insights into what many of the Raptors have been up to over the last several weeks. This makes it easier to decide which player would make the best quarantine buddy.

Kyle Lowry wouldn’t be a bad choice. He hasn’t posted much since the quarantine has started, reserving his Twitter for messages encouraging fans to stay at home and keep their social distance. He did upload a couple of Instagram videos for his 34th birthday, though, and it seems like he and his young family are keeping things light.

Fred VanVleet would be a solid choice for a similar reason. He was dealing with a bum shoulder before the pause but also has a young daughter and young son that he’s smitten with. Just before the quarantine, he even had an Instagram post featuring an adorable photoshoot with his children.

But the ultimate (and obvious) choice here is Serge Ibaka, the team’s fourth-best player. Who else did you expect?

Before the world hit stop, Ibaka was already a one-man content machine. His YouTube series “How Hungry Are You?” was already featured under the Bleacher Report umbrella, with memorable episodes including Kevin Durant and Kawhi Leonard. The YouTube page has been dormant for a couple of months, but the fun only continues for Ibaka.

He’s on TikTok, pretending to kick around rolls of toilet paper, the most premium product in all of the world right now. He’s on Twitter, rolling his eyes thinking about being in quarantine for another seven days (three weeks ago now!), the same way most of us are waking up on the wrong side of the bed. And he’s almost everywhere you look, talking about scarves. Yes, scarves.

If Ibaka hasn’t finalized his post-playing career plans yet, he’s going to have an endless array of options to choose from. Just like his scarves.

The time for going stir crazy has come and gone and come back again. Nobody wants this to drag along for another few months. But the best way to prevent that is to stay quarantined. And the best Raptor to be quarantined with is definitely Serge Ibaka.
