4: Mikal Bridges (2018)

Now we’re making a nice leap from bust potential to a fantastic role-player who has provided his shooting ability to perfection.

Mikal Bridges was drafted in 2018 with the tenth pick to the Philadelphia 76ers before getting traded to the Suns. The Villanova product was an X-Factor piece for his college, winning two NCAA championships. Bridges was undeniably the best 3-and-D wing in recent draft memory, and this was the reason why he had a ton of draft stock.

Bridges was the safest lottery pick in the 2017 draft, by far. Bridges was arguably one of the best wings in the draft, and it made sense for the Suns to select the forward.

So far in his two seasons, Mikal Bridges has been successful in his backup forward role, succeeding in his defense and shooting ability. Bridges has averaged 8.5 points with 1.5 steals a game. Bridges has slotted in perfectly with the young Suns squad that is bound for success in the future.

The Suns would be clueless to deal Bridges away, especially since he has the potential to become an X-Factor when the Suns make a deep playoff run in the future. He is a part of the future in Phoenix. It’s all about if he can capitalize and prove his worth.
