In consideration of the entire country in a state of self-quarantine, which player on the Boston Celtics would you want to be quarantined with?

Despite the Boston Celtics having one of the youngest rosters in the league, the team is still full of players with some of the best and outgoing personalities in the NBA. That alone would make being quarantined with any of them much more enjoyable than what we’re all probably currently dealing with at the moment.

From the rookie class and all the way through the roster to Kemba Walker at the top, you’ll always see someone with a smile on their face no matter what the circumstances are. Which is exactly the type of energy and atmosphere you want to be around when you’re dealing with being quarantined.

But being quarantined with someone is a big decision to make, especially if you have the option of who it’s with. You have to make sure you choose someone that is fun, entertaining, and someone you can never expect a dull moment from. The challenging part here is that all of the players on the Celtics fit that bill. So let’s get into it.

Marcus Smart would be my first choice to be quarantined with, but he is unfortunately taken off of the list considering that he tested positive for COVID-19. We don’t typically see much of the behind the scenes with Smart and it would definitely be a fun experience to say the least. With that being said, it’s great to hear that Smart is feeling well and seems to be making a full recovery from this disease.

Next, the Boston Celtics have seven rookies to consider being cooped up with for an unpredictable amount of time who all would be extremely enjoyable to spend this time with. Grant Williams is goofy and always looking to have a good time, while Romeo Langford and Tremont Waters, on the other hand, would be playing Xbox all day long.

Carsen Edwards would be spending this extra time off working out and improving his overall gains, while Tacko Fall is keeping busy by making TikTok videos explaining to the world what the challenges of being 7’5 are like. Although I am a big fan of the rookie class, I would not be quarantined with any of them. So who does that leave?

We have Jayson Tatum and Gordon Hayward who are in full-time dad mode right now, which would call for me to take a hard pass on. But being stuck inside with Jaylen Brown wouldn’t be so bad, seeing as his creative mind and endless personal goals and endeavors would keep us extremely busy for a very long time. Although I would enjoy conversing with him about where he sees the league in 10 years, Brown is not who I would choose.

The player I would choose to be quarantined with is Enes Kanter. As well as being one of the kindest people in the league, Kanter is by far the most outgoing and energetic player on the team. Not only would it be fun being quarantined with Kanter, but it would also truly be both enlightening and inspirational at the same time.

Since being in Boston, Kanter has made a few political splashes in hopes to bring awareness and hope to his people in Turkey. Personally, I’ve never been into politics, but as a firm believer in always doing the right thing, I fully support all the changes that Kanter is trying to make.

There’s a good chance that being quarantined with Kanter would allow me to be on his weekly podcast with NBC Sports Boston called “The Enes Kanter Show”. The show is with Chris Forsberg and it usually lasts for 30 minutes. It’s a great little segment that both Kanter and Forsberg have a great time doing together and I think it would be a nice thing to be included on.

Being quarantined with Kanter would also give me the best option at eating the best food. While I’m Italian and could offer Kanter some kind of cuisine in that nature, I’m a big fan of trying traditional meals and have never had the chance to have an authentic Turkey dish.

After all, Kanter is the most interesting person on the Boston Celtics and it would be intriguing to learn more about him and to see how he lives.

There would never be a dull moment with Kanter and I think that he would make being quarantined the most enjoyable out of everyone on the team. Hopefully, the world will soon get back to a point where sports can resume and the NBA hiatus can end.
