Devin Booker

One of the future faces of the league, Devin Booker of the Phoenix Suns, is likely a name that all front offices are keeping their eyes on. Since drafting the shooting guard with the 13th overall pick of the 2015 Draft, Phoenix has been historically bad.

Their record in his first four seasons? 87-241, a .265 winning percentage.

Then the year things started looking up, by their standards, as they reached 26-39 and the 13th seed in the West, the season gets put on hiatus and potentially ends due to COVID-19.

And while the Suns have often been rumored as trade destinations for some of the top names on previous years’ markets, they’ve rarely pulled the trigger and acquired more help for Booker.

Instead, they’ve opted for the tanking approach, drafting top talent year after year in hopes of building a cluster of talent similar to that of the Philadelphia 76ers. But so far, on paper or on the court, it hasn’t translated to success as a basketball team.

When will enough be enough for Devin Booker? Everyone’s waiting to find out.

And it’s no secret that he’s very close friends with D’Angelo Russell and Karl-Anthony Towns, who have just recently found themselves on the same team in Minnesota. Could the Suns’ franchise face force his way to the Timberwolves, making for a Big 3 of sorts with his close friends?
