Jayson Tatum

Tatum has made an incredibly huge leap in his progressions from year two to year three and was named an NBA  All-Star for the first time in his three-year career.

He is the leading scorer on the Celtics this year and is averaging 23.6 points, 7.1 rebounds, and three assists per game this season. Tatum has also been very durable and reliable this season as he has played the third-most games (59) and averaged the most minutes per game (34.6) this season than anyone on the team.

Tatum followed up his All-Star status by having an incredible month of February in which he carried the Boston Celtics and averaged 30.7 points, 7.9 rebounds, and 3.2 assists per game while shooting 49.4 percent from the field and 48.1 percent on his 3-point shot attempts.

Through his progressions this season, Tatum has created a side-step step-back shot for himself that when timed perfectly is almost impossible to guard. Tatum has also proved that he is almost unstoppable when he is “hot”.

Tatum improved and blew up for the Boston Celtics at exactly the right time this year. In a time where the team was dealing with injuries to key players, including their starting point guard, Walker, Tatum proved that he can handle the weight of the team on his shoulders and takes pride in doing so.

For the Celtics to make it in a playoff series, Tatum needs to be 100 percent on-point and ready to go. As long as Tatum is on the Boston Celtics, the sky’s the limit for both Tatum and the C’s.
