3. Giannis Antetokounmpo makes light work of Charlotte (03/01/20)

It’s been a yearlong run of dominance for Giannis Antetokounmpo that’s seen an uptick in categories like points and rebounds with a decrease in minutes, resulting in what is currently the seventh-highest single-season PER in NBA history — who knows if we’ll see a chance for improvement.

The quick work he makes of opponents is difficult to comprehend even on a Bucks team with the league’s top record and a unique spot in the stat books of history.

It was against the Hornets where the Greek Freak took an already top-tier game to a level never before seen.

By dropping 40 points, 20 rebounds and six assists in just under 35 minutes, Giannis recorded the quickest 40-20-5 game recorded in NBA history in an eight-point victory.

Few if any words can do Antetokounmpo’s 2019-20 season justice, an MVP defense campaign that has somehow improved in nearly every facet, but this game is as close as we’ll get to an accurate representation.

One of the game’s best players putting on an absolute clinic in a number of minutes that makes you both curious and terrified of the type of damage he could do if given the chance to find that ceiling.
