5. Joe Johnson

Joe Johnson had established himself as one of the league’s best scorers before spending 24 games with the Heat near the end of his career.

After spending his first four years in Boston and (mostly) Phoenix, Johnson landed in Atlanta via a sign-and-trade. “Iso Joe” was named to six All-Star teams and the All-NBA Third Team in seven seasons with the Hawks. In the 2012 offseason, he was moved to the Nets, where he made another All-Star team.

Amidst a turbulent 2015-16 season, Brooklyn bought out Johnson’s contract in February. He signed with the Heat, becoming a starter for the remaining 24 regular-season games and 14 playoff games.

In those 24 regular-season games, Johnson averaged 13.4 points and 3.6 assists on 51.8 percent field goal shooting and 41.7 percent 3-point shooting. In the post-season, Johnson averaged 12.1 points and 2.5 assists on 43.0 percent from the field and 28.3 percent from 3. He signed with the Utah Jazz in the ensuing offseason.
