10. Shawn Marion

Shawn Marion, who enjoyed a 16-year NBA career, spent just 58 games across two seasons in a Miami uniform. Marion, a 6’7″ forward, was drafted ninth overall by the Phoenix Suns in the 1999 draft. He became a four-time All-Star and key starter in the “Seven Seconds or Less” era Phoenix teams.

More from Miami Heat

Weeks before the 2008 trade deadline, Marion and Marcus Banks were traded to the Heat in exchange for Shaquille O’Neal. Marion started in all but two games in his time with Miami; he averaged 12.7 points and 9.4 rebounds per game while shooting 47.5 percent from the field and 22.5 percent from the 3-point line.

Just before the 2009 trade deadline, he and Banks were traded again – this time to the Toronto Raptors for several assets, including Jermaine O’Neal (remember him for later) and a 2011 first-round draft pick that became Jonas Valanciunas.

Later in his career, as a starter on the Dallas Mavericks, Marion would help break the hearts of Heat fans by helping the Mavericks defeat the Heat in the 2011 championship, averaging 13.7 points and 6.3 rebounds in the championship series. He teamed up with LeBron James – one of the stars of that Heat team – in Cleveland in the 2014-15 season before retiring.
