These 10 notable NBA players played short, forgettable stints with the Miami Heat. Let’s examine what they did in their brief time in South Beach.

Since the franchise’s inception, the Miami Heat have been one of the most stable organizations in the NBA. The Heat have won three titles since the 1988-89 season – tied for fourth-most since then – because of its ability to attract and acquire marquee players while developing young talent.

Top tier free agents like LeBron James and Chris Bosh chose to spend their prime years with the Heat. The franchise was able to trade for All-Stars like Alonzo Mourning, Tim Hardaway and Shaquille O’Neal. These big-name players made huge splashes in Miami – including its three Larry O’Brien trophies.

However, some of those big names to join the Heat didn’t impact the team very much at all; their stints were short and often didn’t feature anything significant.
