Los Angeles Lakers: 3 best things from the season so far
3. LeBron evolving his game
LeBron James has now surpassed his 35th year as a human/machine. Debates as to when he is going to slow down have been happening since his Miami Heat days. That was almost a decade ago.
He then proceeded to return to his hometown Cleveland Cavaliers, win a championship for the city with four consecutive NBA Finals appearances and eventually take his talents to LA.
Many people thought last season would be the one to end LeBron’s dominance after he went down with a groin injury and failed to qualify for the playoffs for the first time since his sophomore season in the NBA.
Since then, he has been 100 percent healthy, leading his team to the league’s second-best record in serious contention to win his fifth MVP award. One might even question whether he is human or not, but let’s not dive into deep waters just yet.

To keep up with the new superstars in the league, LeBron has shown the need to modify his game, to better suit his own team’s needs and to ensure that he can meet his body’s criteria.
Instead of being a tank in the paint, slashing and dashing 24/7, James has now added a very useful weapon in his primary skill set. To be fair, he has always been known for his playmaking abilities but not to the extent we have been witnessing all season long
LeBron is having fun with his new teammates and that is visible once they step on the court. He is leading the league in assists with a staggering 10.6 per game as players on their prime are struggling to keep up with him.
That might have been the incorrect expression to use, as it’s not like King James is out of his prime just yet. He has been on a consistent league-best level for almost fifteen years now and continues to make a strong case as the greatest of all time.
