15 players you forgot suited up for the Denver Nuggets

2. Walter Davis (1988-91, 1991-92)
For those unfamiliar with Walter Davis’ resume, he was the 1977-78 Rookie of the Year, a six-time All-Star, two-time All-NBA wing for the Suns who eclipsed the 20 points per game mark six times in eleven seasons with the team. For his 15 year career, he averaged 18.9 points, 3.8 assists and 3.0 rebounds on 51.1 percent shooting from the field.
While he was still excellent with Denver, Davis’ best years were behind him by the time he arrived for the 1988-89 season. As a Nugget, he made major contributions in the sixth man role during his first two and a half-season stint with the team and was fairly solid when he returned the following season.
During the 1988-89 year, Davis averaged 15.6 points per game on 49.8 percent shooting off the bench as part of a Nuggets team that also featured Alex English and Fat Lever. In the 1989-90 season, he put up 17.5 points per game on 48.1 percent shooting and then upped his average to 18.7 per night on 47.4 percent shooting in his 39 games with Denver before he was traded to the Trail Blazers.
After finishing the season with the Blazers, he returned to the Nuggets to begin the 1991-92 season where he averaged 9.9 points per game on 45.9 percent shooting in 46 games off the bench at age 37.
Davis dropped at least 30 points (primarily off the bench) eight different times for Denver. His best game was against the Sonics on Nov. 9, 1990, where he scored 41 points, grabbed eight rebounds, dished two assists and pocketed one steal, albeit in a six-point loss.
