Half Man Half Amazing: Looking back at the best moments of Vince Carter’s career
By Corey Rausch
Swan Song
If this is it, Carter at least got one final moment. He has spent the last two seasons with the Hawks, choosing to continue hooping and giving back to the younger generation over.
The Hawks happened to be playing when the word was spreading that the season was going to be suspended. In what had become a meaningless game coach Lloyd Pierce gave Vince Carter one final moment to celebrate.
Carter played 13 minutes in the game and magically hit a three in the final seconds. Carter deserved to go out much better than a nonsensical game in the middle of March. But in an unconventional career sometimes things work in mysterious ways.
It is up to the fans to remember this moment and night as a beautiful positive instead of a terrifying, mysterious negative. While it was impossible for any game-related moment to be the story of the night with everything else going on in the world, it is still nice that Vince Carter was one of the last players to take the stage.
No one knows how long this hiatus will be, but for one final time, we all got to experience Vinsanity. Half man, half amazing indeed.
