12/13/19 @ Minnesota Timberwolves
The LA Clippers visited the struggling Minnesota Timberwolves in what became the best showcase of the Paul George-Kawhi Leonard tandem.
George led the way for the Clippers as he poured in a season-high 46 points, and Leonard followed with 42 himself. The duo looked unstoppable, particularly George, as he had another well-rounded game that uplifted LA.
Having shot 17-for-31 from the field and 6-of-15 from behind the arc in 39 minutes of play, George’s role increased offensively on the night, which resulted in this dominant performance. He received a small boost from the free throw line as he also connected on 6-of-7 of his attempts.
George made sure to get his teammates involved when he was not scoring as he notched a team-high seven assists on the night to go along with five rebounds. A pair of steals were added to George’s stat sheet also as the forward locked up another great night.
The Clippers secured a 124-117 win behind a big night from their star duo, which is solidified as Paul George’s best game of the season if this is indeed the end. George’s first year in a Clippers’ uniform has been an eventful one, and hopefully, the team can make another run at their championship aspirations soon.
