12/19/19 versus Houston Rockets

The biggest headline of the night in this matchup between the LA Clippers and Houston Rockets surrounded around former teammates Paul George and Russell Westbrook. The tandem played together last season and were going head to head again for the second time this season.

Both players put on a show for their teams as they battled until the clock went to zero. George finished the game with a team-high 34 points in 39 minutes. Having shot 12-for-23 from the field, the forward poured in a noteworthy six 3-pointers in twelve attempts.

George nearly recorded a double-double with nine rebounds as well but dished out only three assists to add towards his totals.

Aside from his big night shooting the ball, George had a typical stellar night defensively as well, totaling two blocked shots and two steals. The four-time All-Defensive player showcased just why he had earned those awards as he played exceptional defense all night.

However, despite George’s all-around sensational night, Russell Westbrook’s 40 points were too much for the Clippers, who would lose 122-117 in a heartbreaking defeat. Regardless, although they ultimately lost the game, George tried everything to get this team a win as they wound up just short.
