15. Glen Rice

Starting off this list with a splash, literally, Glen Rice was with the New York Knicks for the entirety of the 2000-01 NBA season.

A few weeks prior to the beginning of the season, the Knicks took part in a huge 4-team trade that included many players and draft picks. In essence, they traded away a declining 38-year old Patrick Ewing in exchange for an also declining, but slightly younger, Glen Rice.

Rice would go on to average 12.0 points per game and brought his world-renowned 3-point shooting skills to The Garden, shooting 38.9 percent from behind the arc for the season. Rice, an all-time great when it comes to shooting, shot 47 percent from 3 during the 1996-97 season.

He would mostly serve as a backup to Latrell Sprewell, though he ended up starting alongside him on 25 different occasions.

Jeff Van Gundy tried to lead this squad far into the playoffs after securing the fourth seed but did not succeed getting past the Toronto Raptors, in a first-round series they ended up losing 3-2 after a close game 5 in which Rice went 2-10 from the field.

After the end of the disappointing season, they decided to go their separate ways and Rice was traded to the Houston Rockets, where his percentages would drop significantly, as he approached his retirement phase.
