Notes

We had an equal spread of close series and blowouts with four series going the distance and four series ending in either four games or five. We saw LeBron James-led teams go 1-1 with the 2015-16 Cavs steamrolling the 1964-65 Celtics and Magic Johnson‘s 1986-87 Lakers beating his 2012-13 Heat.

We also saw Michael Jordan‘s teams go 1-2, with the first and last Bulls title teams losing their matchups to the 2007-08 Boston Celtics and the 2003-04 Detroit Pistons respectively. The 1995-96 team that went 72-10 mowed down Dwyane Wade and Shaquille O’Neal‘s 2005-06 Miami Heat.
