LA Clippers: Kawhi Leonard’s top 3 performances of the season
By Dalton Sell
1/14/20 versus Cleveland Cavaliers
With Paul George removed out of the lineup with injury once again, the pressure was on Kawhi Leonard as he guided this team to a win versus the Cleveland Cavaliers.
Leonard gave another fantastic performance as the forward scored a season-high 43 points in just 29 minutes of play. Having shot 14-22 from the field, Leonard finished with a 63.6 percent night shooting, while also having impressed from 3-point territory as he went 6-of-10.
Nearly flawless from the free throw line as well, Leonard received some help there, as he missed just one try in 10 attempts. Leonard’s defense was fully displayed as well, having totaled two steals and one blocked shot.
With six total Clippers’ players scoring in double-digits, it was a night where the entire team was thriving as LA got the 128-103 victory on their home court. Leonard finished the game just two points shy of tying his career-high 45 points, but as long as they got the win, it is not something Kawhi would take to heart.
Overall, it was another incredible game from Leonard in a season filled with them, and this one solidified as his best of the season for his all-around play. Perhaps Leonard could change up this list if the NBA were to resume play at some point this season, but only time will tell.
