Visiting the Minnesota Timberwolves in the middle of December, the LA Clippers got their best viewing of the Paul George Kawhi Leonard tandem at it’s best.

The pair put together 88 points as George led the way with 46, and Leonard followed with 42, both putting on masterful performances. Kawhi would struggle from the field, having shot 10-24 overall. However, the forward connected on all of his three-pointers, going a flawless 3-3.

Leonard did most of his damage on the night was from the free throw line, where he connected on a perfect 19-of-19. This was where a chunk of the forward’s points came from even though he is attempting just 6.9 free-throws per game on the season.

Aside from scoring, Leonard would notch a double-double, grabbing 11 rebounds to go along with his 42 points but dishing out just two assists. Leonard uncharacteristically did not tally a single block or steal on the night, but he made up for it on the offensive side of the ball.

The night undoubtedly belonged to Paul George with his season-high 46 points, but along with Kawhi’s 42, the LA Clippers won the game 124-117 behind a big night from their stars. Leonard’s 42 point night was impressive, but with nineteen of those coming from the charity stripe, it just misses the list.
