#2: Udonis Haslem

Udonis Haslem has spent his entire career apart of the Miami Heat, which is a true example of loyalty to your team. Haslem has spent sixteen long years with the Heat, winning three NBA championships as part of a whole range of dominant Heat squads.

Haslem, who is currently 39, has been mostly a reserve for the past five seasons, having a veteran role on a young team. Haslem hasn’t made any impact whatsoever on the team and his games that have been played have been mostly in garbage time. He wasn’t always a bench warmer though. Haslem was a decent role-player during the 2000s and early 2010s, playing a great role for his team to build around. He has been more of a club presence and role-model status for the Heat.

But Haslem hasn’t necessarily specified whether this season will be his last, instead firing back at critics in a loudly worded message on Instagram back in June 2019.

Haslem hasn’t seen game-time for a fair bit of time, but he managed to play some time in a blowout win against the Cleveland Cavaliers on February 22nd. He logged no points but managed to snag five rebounds in only ten minutes of play. He has been a reserve since that game. Fans mostly forget Haslem still plays in the NBA, since he rarely even sees game time.

It’s more than likely that Haslem won’t play again after this season, most likely joining the Heat in a coaching role if possible. There’s not much to really say about Haslem playing his final game, other than to look back on his loyalty for the Heat, and being able to assure a role-model spot on the team with no problems.
