After the unexpected suspension of the NBA season, several fan favorites may have played their final minutes in the NBA, breaking hearts everywhere

Retiring from the NBA is always unfortunate, but well warranted for most players. For some players, they have the whole 82-game season spent towards acknowledging their careers and legacies. Dwyane Wade‘s 2018-19 season was such an example, with the whole league paying tribute to Wade’s impact over his long tenure. His ending was fantastic and it made for some sad, yet grateful viewing for all fans.

But we probably won’t be seeing that this season.

With the COVID-19 outbreak, slowly spreading and panicked fans and teams alike, the impact of the pandemic has caused the 2019-20 NBA season to be suspended. Though it could continue on after thirty days, there are high chances that season could get delayed for longer, or even canceled depending on how the pandemic is managed.

The big panic was caused by the news of Utah Jazz center, Rudy Gobert, testing positive to COVID-19. The NBA instantly suspended its season upon the news.

What’s most unfortunate is that we won’t be seeing some teams, such as the Milwaukee Bucks and Los Angeles Lakers, complete historical seasons. We won’t get to watch some of the best rookies shine, such as Zion Williamson and Ja Morant. We won’t be able to watch some of the best teams battle it out in the playoffs. But most of all, we possibly won’t get to watch some players play basketball ever again. I know, it sounds dramatic, but it’s certainly possible.

Let’s take a look at five players who may have played their final games coming into the suspension of the NBA season.
