15 players you forgot played for the Golden State Warriors
2. Antawn Jamison (1998-2003)
Antawn Jamison made two All-Star games over the course of his 16-year career. Neither, however, came during arguably his highest level of productivity, a large reason his time in Golden State tends to slip through the cracks.
The former UNC star wound up a Warrior via a draft-day trade that sent Vince Carter to the Toronto Raptors. It took just one year at the pro level before Golden State began to truly reap the benefits.
In the latter four seasons of his time in the Bay, Jamison averaged 21.9 points, 7.6 rebounds and 2.0 assists per game with three consecutive seasons playing all 82 games. He put up a career-best 24.9 points per game during the 2000-01 season, the ninth-highest mark in the league with the seventh-most total points at 2,044.
Jamison also put up a career-high 51 points that season against the dynastic Los Angeles Lakers — coming on the heels of a separate 51-point performance against Seattle several days prior — outdueling Kobe Bryant‘s 51 points en route to a memorable 125-122 overtime victory over the defending champs.
Despite a 17-win improvement from the prior season heading into the summer of 2003, the Golden State Warriors wound up parting with Jamison by sending him to Dallas for a package headlined by the aforementioned Nick Van Exel.
