Caron Butler

Finally getting to the more decorated former players on this list, Caron Butler had a much better career than most people would likely remember. He started his career as a lottery pick in Miami and in his second year was joined by Dwyane Wade and Lamar Odom. In his second season, he struggled with injuries but the team made it to the second round. This led to a major trade that sent Butler and Odom to the Lakers in exchange for Shaquille O’Neal.

He spent one season in Los Angeles before being traded again to the Washington Wizards. Nicknamed Tough Juice, he would be named to the All-Star game twice but struggled with injuries. The team was fun, as he partnered for much regular season success with teammates Antawn Jamison and Gilbert Arenas. He would be traded to the Mavericks in 2010 and was on the team in 2011 when they won the title, although he missed most of the season with another injury.

From this point on Butler was something of a journeyman, playing two seasons with the Clippers, 34 games with the Bucks, 22 games with the Thunder and then landed in Detroit. He appeared in 78 games for Detroit in the 2014-2015 season before being traded alongside Shawne Williams for Ersan Ilyasova.

He was waived by the Bucks and signed with his final team, the Sacramento Kings. He only played 176 total minutes for the Kings, making Detroit his final semi-meaningful stop in a fun, injury-riddled career.
