Joel Anthony

While he only played 68 games with the Detroit Pistons, Joel Anthony did have a nice NBA career over his 10 years. Anthony was traded from the Boston Celtics to the Pistons weeks before the 2014 season began in exchange for Will Bynum. He re-signed with the Detroit Pistons the following summer before being traded to the Philadelphia 76ers at that year’s trade deadline.

This trade never ended up going through, however.  As many Piston fans will remember the unfortunate failing of a physical for Donatas Motiejunas caused the trade to fall apart and left Anthony in a weird place, coming back to a team that traded him away. He was waived by the team that summer.

Joel Anthony joined the team as a former two-time champion with the LeBron James Miami Heat team and was thought to bring a veteran presence to a young Detroit Pistons roster behind Andre Drummond who was entering his third season.

While this did not work out for the big man, it would be his last major stint in the league. After being waived he spent only 19 games with the San Antonio Spurs the following season and was cut by the Milwaukee Bucks in the preseason the season after. Since then Anthony has spent time in the Argentinian league.
