In what might have been one of the more entertaining games of the NBA season, Tatum put on a show as the Boston Celtics battled against the Los Angeles Lakers and LeBron James as well as Anthony Davis.

Without Kemba Walker in this one, the bulk of the scoring would be coming from the Celtics’ three-headed monster of Hayward, Tatum, and Brown.

In a game where neither Hayward or Brown could find their shot, Tatum carried the load and then some.

He matched his career-high with 41 points, which came with a combined 36 points between the second and third quarters.

His confidence was immense as he took to task each defender that had the unlucky assignment of guarding him.

On one play, Davis switched onto him, and Tatum backed up and calmly did his signature sidestep, which resulted in a clean swish over the extended arm of one of the league’s best defenders.

He was ultimately shut down in the fourth quarter, but his performance and shot-making were on display in one of the toughest arenas to play in.

Considering he got some recognition from his childhood idol as well, the game wasn’t all bad for Tatum despite the narrow 114-112 defeat.
