Although the Boston Celtics lost this game in heart-crushing fashion, it was hardly the fault of Jayson Tatum.

In the first game for the LA Clippers’ duo of Paul George and Kawhi Leonard playing together, the Celtics were severely underestimated heading into this one. Especially without Gordon Hayward, the Cs knew it would be difficult.

Enter Jayson Tatum, who posted his first 30 point game of the season and just the second of his career. Tatum’s play on the other end was phenomenal, too. He held Kawhi Leonard to 7-of-20 shooting on the evening, which forced role players to step up for LA.

Unfortunately, reigning Sixth Man of the Year winner Lou Williams was on fire, providing 27 points off the bench. In the end, that was enough for the Clippers to scrape past Boston in overtime, 107-104.

For Tatum, however, he provided fans with one of the most memorable plays of the season. With the team trailing by three points, Tatum was given the ball guarded by elite defender Paul George.

That did not seem like a problem for the confident Tatum, as he made his move and drained the three, dropping Paul George in the process.

That singular memorable moment deemed this game worthy enough of making the top five, edging out Tatum’s explosive scoring outburst against the Hornets just a month later.
