The Golden State Warriors

Another potential home for Gordon could be with the Golden State Warriors.

What if they used the first-round pick they got in the same trade with Andrew Wiggins to in turn send him packing to Orlando for Gordon, and say, Mo Bamba? The Warriors could certainly use some talented youth, one that won’t be as much of a project as Wiggins is bound to be.

And Gordon doesn’t need the ball in his hands as much as Wiggins, making him a more sensible fit for the smooth beauty that is the Golden State offense. The money around that kind of deal works, and the Warriors have already expressed interest in the past.

Gordon’s no 3-point marksman, but on a team like this, he wouldn’t have to be. A trade to Golden State allows him to focus on heightening his strengths as an athletic combo forward.

Combining his potential, with the developmental success that we’ve seen in the Warriors could prove a deadly marriage. Rolling out Stephen Curry, Klay Thompson, Aaron Gordon, Draymond Green, and even Mo Bamba next season would be a fortuitous five on both ends of the ball.

At the end of the day, the ideal home for Aaron Gordon is going to be one with a sturdy foundation. He’s outlasted the rebuild with the Orlando Magic what feels like twice now. The only sensible move forward is to find a deal that works best for both parties in the offseason.
