As the end of the season draws near, the Orlando Magic come closer to having to address Aaron Gordon’s future. But is there a fit out there that makes sense?

The Orlando Magic are going to the playoffs for the second consecutive season. Unfortunately the outcome looks even more bleak than last year, where they were knocked out in the first round four games to one, at the hands of Kawhi Leonard and the Toronto Raptors.

Without their top defensive player Jonathan Isaac, and a struggling Nikola Vucevic, it’s either going to be a sweep or another five-game series for Orlando. And then, well, it’s the offseason–again.

Despite the Magic’s efforts to bolster their roster for another run at the playoffs, they didn’t come out much better on the other side of free agency last summer.

Orlando added veteran forward Al-Farouq Aminu who’s played just 18 games this season, re-signed Terrance Ross to a relatively low price, and brought back Vucevic on a $100-million deal.

Now they’re a higher seed in the East this year but are on pace to win fewer games than they did last season. The Magic will enter another offseason with roster needs and questions to answer.

The biggest one being Aaron Gordon‘s future.

After signing a four-year extension for $76-million back in the offseason of 2018, he’s been heavily involved in trade rumors. Orlando has had talks, and likely had offers back in February, but ultimately decided to wait until this summer.

Well, on the other side of that short-lived playoff appearance will be a new market. If the Orlando Magic are going to find a team to ship Aaron Gordon off to, it’ll have to make sense. That being said, a look at three teams that would be a near-seamless fit for the forward.
