2. Joe Harris

Joe Harris has been a real find for the Brooklyn Nets. After spending the first two years of his career with the Cleveland Cavaliers, the guard has spent the last four seasons in Brooklyn. The Nets took a flier on the shooter and it has been a successful marriage for both sides.

Like his current teammate Dinwiddie, Harris never got a real opportunity with the team that drafted him. The one difference between the two was the situation with their respected clubs. Harris sat on the Cleveland Cavaliers bench during a championship run and Dinwiddie was languishing with the below .500 Pistons.

In his sixth NBA season Harris is averaging career highs in points per game 13.9 and minutes played 30.9. While his points per game average is up from last season, his 3-point percentage is slightly down from last season when he led the league at 47.4 percent.

One aspect that makes Harris a likely candidate to be on the roster come opening night of the 2020-2021 season is his ability to shoot the lights out of the basketball. Playing alongside Durant and Irving would give them a reliable shooter to space the floor. Over his six years in the league, Harris is a 42.3 percent career 3-point shooter and last season won the 3-point shootout during All-Star weekend.

Harris will enter free agency this summer and bringing him back should be a priority for the Nets. He signed a two-year, $16 million contract, after the 17-18 season and considered one of the NBA’s most lethal shooters. Harris will look to cash in on a pay raise this summer.
