His head coach has refused to start him, but Coby White has been cooking for the Chicago Bulls. In a season of misery, he’s proving to be a bright spot.

With the seventh pick in the 2019 NBA. Draft, the Chicago Bulls select –  COBY WHITE Wow, bro!  With his youthful enthusiasm and 1000-watt smile, the kid burst onto the scene. Immediately on draft night he gave Bulls fans reason to smile, perhaps even chuckle a bit, even if they weren’t certain what a 19-year-old point guard would bring a rebuilding team.

Fast forward to March 2020: The Bulls are in the midst of another dreary season, injuries have plagued the squad again and, if fans get their way, organizational changes may soon be on the horizon. There have been very few bright spots this season. Very few.

Zach LaVine has had an All-Star caliber season, becoming the electrifying scorer the front office hoped he’d be when they swapped former franchise player (debatable)  Jimmy Butler for the young dunk champion. Let’s see – what else is there? Oh, the new jumbotron is nice! Okay, Wendell Carter Jr. and Kris Dunn were having a good time anchoring the defense before injuries beset both for extended periods – Dunn now out for the season with a knee injury.

Of course, we cannot exclude their star rookie, Coby White. Having an exciting rookie season and a fantastic last few weeks, White is the only Chicago Bull regular rotational player not to start a game this season. The rookie has been dazzling on the court lately and the reality is, he’s giving fans desperate for anything positive something to cheer for.

That he hasn’t started a game yet is like lighting a match near a gas spill. The fans are ready to revolt over anything Jim Boylen/John Paxson/Gar Forman related. At least they have an electrifying young guard to cheer for.

Here are three reasons Coby White is a rising star for the Chicago Bulls.
