2. December losing streak.

The Blazers have had two losing streaks when they lost four games and one where they lost five. So why single out the streak at the end of December? It was a tremendous opportunity for the Trail Blazers to gain some positive momentum and they blew it.

In the middle of December, the Trail Blazers were starting to get their season back on track. They won four straight, beating the Phoenix Suns away then taking care of the Golden State Warriors, the Orlando Magic, and the Minnesota Timberwolves. Then it all went south.

The Blazers then lost to the New Orleans Pelicans at home who still did not have the services of Zion Williamson. They then went on the road and lost to the Utah Jazz before coming home and losing to both the Los Angeles Lakers and the Suns.

The Blazers then went on the road and lost to one of the worst teams in the NBA, the New York Knicks. If they were playing like the Blazers from last season, they would have gone 3-2 or even 4-1 which would have kept the momentum going.

Since the end of that losing streak, the Blazers have gone 14-14, including 2-4 when Lillard was out. Sitting 4.5 games back from the eighth seed now their season would be in a better place had they not have lost those five straight.
