7. Dwyane Wade (2017-18)

The best friend of LeBron James and a once in a lifetime talent, Dwyane Wade spent half a season with the Cleveland Cavaliers before being traded to his rightful home in Miami.

Wade made a legacy for himself with the Miami Heat. This lightning-quick guard with the nickname “Flash” helped propel the Heat to three championships and five trips to the NBA Finals.

Towards the end of his career, Wade began experimenting with other franchises. He enjoyed one season with his hometown Chicago Bulls before electing to join the Cavaliers in the summer of 2017.

This season served as Wade’s last chance to compete for a title alongside James. Playing a much different role this time, Wade started in only three games for the Cavaliers. However, when he was on the court with James, there was still a clear connection between the two.

Wade averaged a cool 11.2 points with the second unit, playing just over 20 minutes a game. Sadly, we never got to see him ramp it up in the playoffs as Wade was shipped back to Miami at the trade deadline.

It’s hard to imagine the Cavaliers winning the championship this year regardless of what Wade could have contributed but it’s safe to say he would have helped them avoid being swept.
