First round

The first round of the NBA playoffs for the Bucks should go very similar to last year. Both of the teams fighting for the eighth spot in the Eastern Conference Playoffs are teams the Bucks have played great against all year.

1. Orlando Magic

The Orlando Magic are currently in eighth place in the East and the most likely first round playoff matchup for the Bucks. The Bucks have played them four times this year, and the Bucks won all four. The closest game was when the Bucks won by nine, and the most lopsided was when the Bucks won by 33.

More from Milwaukee Bucks

The Magic do not have an answer for Giannis Antetokounmpo in the paint, and if they attempt to put too many bodies on him, it will leave the best Bucks’ shooters open. It will be very much a pick your poison type situation for the Magic.

The Milwaukee Bucks are better than them at every position, and much like the Detroit Pistons last year, the Bucks should win this series in four games.

2. Brooklyn Nets

The Brooklyn Nets have been very up and down the entire season, and it looks like they will be without Kyrie Irving the rest of the way. The Nets have managed to hold on to the seventh seed for most the season without him but could fall to the eighth spot with a late-season surge from the Magic and end up playing the Bucks in the first round.

The Bucks beat the Nets by 20 in their first matchup this season and play them two more times. Antetokounmpo only played 25 minutes and scored 29 points and none of the starters played more than 30 minutes. The same can be expected in a playoff series where the Bucks just have too much offense for Nets.

Much like the Magic, the Bucks match up across the board with the Nets, and would most likely end the series in four games.
