After a very successful pre-All-Star part of the season, the Los Angeles Lakers get set to finish the season they way they started it…very strong.

It is no secret that the 2019-20 Los Angeles Lakers are exceeding expectations by a landslide. Everybody pretty much-anticipated them to be en established playoff team, though that level of dominance in the Western Conference has surprised most NBA fans.

The past offseason was one of the biggest pivotal changes we’ve ever seen in NBA history. Contenders turning into lottery teams, lottery teams turning into contenders, all in the blink of an eye.

This current Lakers squad shares very few similarities to the one we witnessed failing to qualify for the playoffs last season. Out of the 15 players on the active roster, only six of them wore purple-and-gold for the 2018-19 campaign. Consequently, one would expect at least some type of chemistry issue in the locker room, filled with so many dominant personalities.

What followed was the exact opposite. A relaxed squad that seems to enjoy playing basketball together every night, while other teams struggle with certain players’ squad roles.

The Lakers now boast a record of 46-13 which puts them well ahead of everyone else in their conference, as the No. 1 seed will soon be made official. Percentage-wise, this is the fifth-most successful season in franchise history, pacing faster and faster towards the 65-win mark.

With that being said, here are some bold–but realistic–predictions for the Los Angeles Lakers, on their quest towards the 17th championship in the organization’s history.
