6. Los Angeles Lakers

Of course, the number one threat to the LA Clippers is their big brother, Los Angeles Lakers. This was the case ever since LeBron James joined the Lakers. Whatever team he is on, they are a contender and once they acquired Anthony Davis, they put themselves as a top-three team in the league.

If you only went by what happened in the two games this season, you would think that the Clippers are the clear-cut favorites.

In both games, Leonard and the Clippers came out on top, but like everyone always wants to say… it is just a regular-season game. A regular-season series has no real indication of what will happen in the playoffs. That is because of the best playoff performer in the league, James.

Although Giannis Antetokounmpo is perhaps the best player in the league, I still do not see an argument for anyone this year being over James when the playoff comes. Have people forgotten what happened the last time he was in the playoffs? Then, you have some people who wanted to argue that there is a reason why the Lakers did not make the playoff last year and that was because father time has caught up with James.

But, enough of James, it is not like one player can carry a team to the finals, which he actually can, but that is not the point.

They do have one of the best players and arguably the best two-way big in the game. This will definitely be to their advantage as there is not a single player that could match up with Davis on the Clippers.

In addition to their two stars, they do actually have several key players that will prove to be crucial in their series against the Clippers. Players like Dwight Howard, Danny Green, and Rajon Rondo will be key to their success.

Summing up, if the LA Clippers are fully healthy during the playoffs, there are not many teams that are an actual threat to them. The only obstacles that stand in their path to the NBA Finals are the Rockets and the Lakers.
