3. Denver Nuggets

If both the LA Clippers and the Denver Nuggets remain as the top-three teams in the West, they would meet in the second round. This is the first team that could very well pose a threat to the Clippers.

What is one of the main questions the Clippers have? Their lack of a big man. As good as Montrezl Harrell is, he is not on the same level as some of the other top centers in the league and who do the Nuggets have? One of the best bigs in the league.

Nikola Jokic, following his stellar season last season, which earned him his first All-NBA first selection, as well as being top-five in most valuable player (MVP) voting, has been putting up pretty much the same stats, except being more efficient. And if you look beyond the standard box-score, you will see he is among the top 10 in many impact metrics.

The teams have met twice so far in the season, which resulted in a win and a loss and will meet again on March 18.

Jokic will be the biggest threat to the Clippers. Just a reminder, in his first playoffs, which included two game sevens, he was the best center in the playoffs. But the question lies with the rest of the team.  The team is still quite young and inexperienced, but with a borderline superstar in Jokic and a deep team, they could challenge the Clippers.
