The Boston Celtics had a great first half of the season and there have been more ups than downs. Here are some of the best moments thus far this season.

Many people are still surprised at how fast the Boston Celtics have been able to bounce back and prove to be a resilient team after the turmoil of a season they endured from just a year earlier. There have been more high points than low points this season, and from top to bottom, it’s a true credit to the entire organization.

More from Hoops Habit

To start, the overall morale of the team is in a better place. The departure of Kyrie Irving turned out to be more of a blessing in disguise for the Celtics more than anything else. Irving’s poor attitude not only had a negative impact on his former teammates, but also the team’s fearless leader in head coach Brad Stevens.

The acquisition of Kemba Walker has completely turned this team around. Walker is a true veteran and leader who has a winning and team mindset, which is something the Celtics have craved to add to their young and talented team. It didn’t take long for Walker, an experienced and All-Star point guard, to quickly earn the respect and trust of his new teammates.

But Walker isn’t the only player to credit for the Celtics’ successes this season. It has truly been an entire group effort, with each player understanding and valuing their own roles on the team. The Celtics have a unique opportunity that most teams don’t this season, which is the chance for a different player to have a big game on any given night. That element alone is starting to set the Celtics apart from the rest of the league.

At this point in the season, the Boston Celtics are sitting on a 41-19 record and are one of the top teams in the Eastern Conference; only being 1.5 games behind the Toronto Raptors for second place. Considering their most recent streak of wins, the C’s have a strong chance to beat the Raptors for second place in the Eastern Conference.

As the playoffs are around the corner and the regular is nearing a close, let’s take a look at some of the best moments from the Boston Celtics thus far this season.
