Second-year combo guard Donte DiVincenzo continues to give the Milwaukee Bucks valuable minutes off the bench, playing in all 11 games as the Bucks continue to play at a 70-victory pace by going 10-1 over the last four weeks.
DiVincenzo averaged 9.3 points and 5.4 rebounds in 22.9 minutes per game over the last four weeks, shooting 44.2 percent overall and hitting 32.6 percent on 3.9 3-point attempts a night. He made a start in place on Khris Middleton (out with a sore neck) Friday night as the Bucks routed the Oklahoma City Thunder.
Included in that run was 19 points — matching his career-high — and eight rebounds in a loss at the Indiana Pacers on Feb. 12 and his first career-double with 12 points and 10 boards (also matching the most in his career) in Monday’s win at the Washington Wizards.
On the season, DiVincenzo has started 21 games and played in 54 overall, averaging 9.1 points, 4.8 rebounds, 2.2 assists and 1.4 steals in 22.8 minutes a night, shooting 45.5 percent overall and 34.0 percent on 3.6 3-point attempts per game.
That comes after heel injuries limited him to just 27 games and 411 minutes as a rookie last season, along with four games and 112 minutes with Wisconsin in the G League.
