As the Washington Wizards fall into a three-game losing streak, head coach Scott Brooks should look at a lineup change. We’ll look at three.

Following the Washington Wizards loss to the Milwaukee Bucks, they’re on a losing streak of three games. But as the Eastern Conference competition continues to crumble, they’d be wise to swing an appearance in the postseason this year.

The Brooklyn Nets have confirmed Kevin Durant won’t be returning this season, and they’ve lost Kyrie Irving to season-ending surgery. The Philadelphia 76ers have potentially mismanaged another young player’s injury, in Ben Simmons. He’s out indefinitely with a back injury.

And the Indiana Pacers, well they haven’t really turned it on as everyone expected in light of Victor Oladipo‘s return to the floor. They’re 3-7 in their last ten games.

Then there’s the Orlando Magic, who, despite their recent win over Brooklyn on Wednesday; don’t appear to be ready for a playoff push. Nikola Vucevic hasn’t played like the All-Star we saw last season, and Aaron Gordon has been wildly inconsistent.

Washington’s upcoming schedule isn’t sexy, by any means. Six of their next ten opponents are playoff teams, and the other four are lottery teams with nothing to lose like the Golden State Warriors, who’ll be seeing Stephen Curry return when the Wizards host them on March 1st.

FiveThirtyEight has lowered Washington’s playoff chances to 8 percent following their Monday night loss to Milwaukee, and raised the eighth seed Magic’s to a whopping 98 percent.

It’s clear that in order to make playoffs, the Washington Wizards are going to have to shift some pieces in their lineups, or minute allocations altogether.

Because what they’re rolling with now, well it’s just not working.

That being said, a look at three potential changes that may help Washington in their quest for the East’s eighth seed.
