4. Orlando Magic

For this series to take place, the Toronto Raptors would likely need to hold on to the two-seed and the Orlando Magic would need to move past Brooklyn and get the seven seed. This scenario is very possible, especially with the recent injury to Kyrie Irving.

At first glance, some people might think the Raptors would rather face the Magic than the Nets. However, I’d disagree. The Magic put up a good fight against the Raptors in the first round of the playoffs last year even though it only went five games.

Orlando has one of the leagues most elite defences, not to mention they are capable of getting hot on offence on any given night. Guys like Terrence Ross, Nikola Vucevic and Evan Fournier can go for 30 at any time.

Although the Magic aren’t a horrible team, they’d still have no chance against the defending champs. There is just absolutely no way they are able to score enough points against this stout Raptors defence. Especially considering the Magic’s leading scorer, Vucevic, got absolutely eaten alive by Marc Gasol in last years playoffs and it would likely be much of the same if these teams face-off again.

Once again, if this series takes place in the first round, the Raptors would likely walk about with a sweep.
