Mitchell Robinson is sticking to what he does well and that not only helped the New York Knicks to a 5-5 record over the last four weeks, but it has also lifted the second-year big man back onto the Sixth Man of the Year Ladder. He was at No. 7 on Ladder 2.0 before sliding off version 3.0, but he’s returned with a vengeance.

That is despite his scoring being down. But his efficiency has been up — way up.

Over the last four weeks, Robinson averaged 8.1 points, 6.9 rebounds, 2.3 blocks and 1.0 steals in 21.6 minutes per game, shooting a ridiculous 84.4 percent overall (we won’t talk about the 5-for-14 free throw shooting … oof).

Robinson has appeared in 52 of New York’s 56 games and started seven times, averaging 9.2 points, 6.7 rebounds and 1.9 blocks in 22.5 minutes per game. He’s shooting an NBA-best 73.1 percent from the floor, on pace to break Wilt Chamberlain‘s single-season record of 72.7 percent set in 1972-73.

Robinson continues to play well against Atlanta, a team he has victimized for 37 points and 24 rebounds in 64 minutes in two meetings this season. That includes 15 points, 11 boards, three steals and three blocks in 35 minutes on 7-of-8 shooting in a Feb. 9 loss at State Farm Arena in the ATL.
