Denver Nuggets: Three things to look forward to post All-Star break
By Dean Hasan
The Denver Nuggets won seven of their last ten and looked great rolling into the All-Star break. Here are three things to look forward to after the break.
Since the New Year, the Denver Nuggets have been exceptional, posting an 11-5 record in January and a 4-2 record in February thus far. Their performance is all the more impressive considering that injuries have sidelined Paul Millsap for 16 of those games, Jamal Murray for 10, Michael Porter Jr. for seven, and Will Barton for five.
Led by All-Star center Nikola Jokic, Denver notched quality wins against the Houston Rockets, Utah Jazz (twice), Milwaukee Bucks, and a hot Portland Trail Blazers team over their last ten, and since 2020 began, they’ve also bested the Los Angeles Clippers and Dallas Mavericks.
Denver has 27 games left to play in the regular season, with 14 on the road and 13 at home. Nine of their matchups will be against the Eastern Conference, meanwhile the remaining 18 against the Western Conference will provide a valuable opportunity to solidify their position against their direct competitors.
Home or away, East or West, the Denver Nuggets have nothing to fear given their track record this season. They’re 21-7 at home and 17-10 on the road, 25-9 against the West and 13-8 against the East, which should inspire confidence in the coming games. With a healthy, rested, and motivated squad gunning for the top spot in the conference in this final third of the season, here are three things to look forward to after the break.
