James Harden‘s pace cooled somewhat over the last four weeks, with the Houston Rockets going just 7-5 in the 12 games in which Harden played, while splitting the two contests he missed on Jan. 26-27 due to a bruised left thigh.

The Beard averaged 29.3 points, 7.6 rebounds, 6.9 assists, 1.4 steals and 1.2 blocks in 36.8 minutes per game over the 12 games he played, but shot only 40.2 percent overall and managed to hit just 29.8 percent on 10.9 3-point attempts nightly. Harden did, however, can 90.2 percent of his 11.1 free throw attempts per game.

Harden scored 42 points in a win over the Celtics on Tuesday, ripped down a season-high 16 rebounds in a win over the Mavericks on Jan. 31 and dished out 12 assists in a win over the Hornets on Feb. 4, a game in which Harden also dropped 40 points. (NOTE: The video title below indicates he had 11 assists, but the NBA’s official gamebook lists 12.)

Harden was one of the two guards elected from the Western Conference to start Sunday’s All-Star Game in Chicago and will play in the backcourt with Dallas youngster Luka Doncic for Team LeBron.

Harden is still on pace for his third consecutive scoring title, averaging 35.3 points per game to go with 7.3 assists, 6.5 rebounds, 1.6 steals and 1.0 blocks (a career-high) a night. He’s played in 51 of 54 games for the 34-20 Rockets, who are currently fifth in the West, and is shooting 43.7 percent overall and 35.8 percent on 12.8 3-point attempts per game.
